Make Wishes Come True During The Season Of Wishes
To celebrate the 2012 Season of Wishes, Make-A-Wish Orange County and The Inland Empire are hosting two Open House events to celebrate the wishes they’ve granted and the many more to come. Join them for their two Open House celebrations on Wednesday, December 5th in Tustin and Monday, December 10th in Riverside.
Help Grant Wishes
By attending a Make-A-Wish Open House, you can help Make-A-Wish achieve their goal of granting the wishes of 10 children this holiday season. There is no fee to attend either Open House, but donations are encouraged! Make-A-Wish Orange County and The Inland Empire needs your help to make wishes come true. Plus, there are even some perks for you when making a donation.
With every $10 donation, you will be entered into a drawing to win a Pioneer BDP-V6000 Region free Blu-ray DVD Player (A $500 value)! You have until 4pm on December 5th to enter, and winners will be announced at the Tustin Open House on December 5th.
To be entered in the drawing, simply make a donation online. Your donation can do so much for a child during the holiday months, like grant a child’s wish of going skiing!
For a child wishing for a ski trip, a $25 donation can buy her family hot cocoa with marshmallows; $50 can give her a ski rental; $75 provides a child with goggles and a snowsuit; $100 buys ski lift passes for an entire week; and $500 buys lessons to help a child master her skiing skills.
Spread The Word
There are many ways that you can help make a child’s wish of taking a ski trip come true. You can make your donation and also ask for the help of others. Consider forming a team of family members, co-workers, schoolmates, or people in your community and work to make a $5,000 donation to Make-A-Wish Orange County and The Inland Empire.
With a donation of $5,000, you and your team will receive a special plaque and a photo of the Wish Child with his/her story. The donation doesn’t need to be a single donation, but can be a collection of funds.
There are many ways you can make this happen and truly make the holidays a Season of Wishes. Here are some ways to help you come up with donations:
Celebrate In Style
After you make your donation, you can build up the excitement to attend the Season of Wishes Open House. You can have a blast at the events and feel good about doing your best to benefit Make-A-Wish.
Each Open House will be celebrated with excellent food, company, and holiday cheer. The Tustin Open House on Monday, December 5th will be held at The Orange County Wish House (14232 Red Hill Ave. in Tustin), and the Riverside Open House on Wednesday, December 10th will be held at The Inland Empire Wish Suite (3521 Main Street in Riverside).
Parking at The Orange County Wish House is very limited, so allow extra time to find street parking. You don’t want to miss out on the fun!
Donate Your Car During The Season Of Wishes
To help grant wishes during the Season of Wishes, donations are extremely important. If you would like to learn how to get involved or would like to give a Season of Wishes gift, please email getinvolved@wishocie.org, or consider the gift of car donation.
When you donate an old vehicle to Wheels For Wishes, 100% of the net proceeds that we earn from recycling or auctioning your car will benefit Make-A-Wish Orange County and The Inland Empire. You can turn your old car into wishes for a local child during the Season of Wishes.
