Rolling For Wishes Casino Night

Crazy lights and casino chips will be going wild at the 9th annual Rolling For Wishes event, benefiting Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire. Hosted by Make-A-Wish Young Professionals, this event is Friday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.

History Of Make-A-Wish Orange County And The Inland Empire

This chapter started in 1983 with the first wish being granted to a 14 year old girl named Tamra who wished to see the flawless blue waters of the Caribbean. Since then they have granted more than 5,300 wishes to children with life threating illnesses. Ever wonder what kids wish for? This chapter's top ten wishes are Disneyland, Walt Disney World, local shopping adventures, meeting a celebrity, traveling to Hawaii and other locations, Disney Cruises, electronics, and computers.

Wondering What Kind Of Illnesses Children Can Have That Grant Them A Wish?

In this chapter alone, 102 children are diagnosed with other medical conditions, 80 have Leukemia, 26 have brain and Neoplasm cancer, and unspecified behavior of the brain, 12 have lymphoid and histiocytic cancer. These diseases cause children and families to have extensive stays in hospitals. Children are unable to be normal kids because of their medical conditions and Make-A-Wish is able to get them out of that hospital environment and let them be kids for a day, or a whole week depending on their wish.

What To Expect

With your ticket you will experience walking in the door with $150 in casino chips, allowing you to gamble the night away and play casino games like craps, blackjack, and roulette with new friends. The evening will also include a lot of appetizers and drinks to give you the real casino vibe. There will be music and a sensational silent auction and raffle, filled with amazing items. Proceeds go to granting wishes of children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions.

All tickets after 5:01 p.m. June 17-23 will be $95.
If tickets are still available on June 24 they will be selling tickets at the door for $120
